No matter what race you choose to play as an alliance player, a little smarty gnome, a night elf wielding the powers of nature or a human skilled in the use of swords, there still are quite a bunch of levels to knock down towards the World of Warcraft end game content. Even if they don’t give you XP and actually consume some time, professions are a must for any character, they are an excellent source of gold in World of Warcraft.

5. Make sure you choose the right spec for leveling your character. The best choice you can make for a leveling spec is a combination of area-of-effect abilities and talents. This way you will be more effective while killing mobs and run through quests much faster. For example, I used a lot my bear form as a druid, and some defensive gear to kill at least 4-5 mobs at one time.

So if you haven’t seen it yet, Tropic Thunder was, surprisingly, one of the funniest films of the year. This may come as a surprise, as it does star Ben Stiller, and he’s been phoning it in with lazy efforts lately. However, this is what Stiller is capable of as a writer and director, and not just another of his “star power for hire” unfunny comedy flicks. This really works with the theme of the film being sincerity and fakeness, and the fact that a fake situation becomes real is an incredible premise, everything considered.

The theme of the film is one of honesty, the movie is about phoniness and sincerity, and all of the characters have to come to terms with who they are in life. While it’s a comedy, you find yourself actually rooting for these characters to see things through, to succeed in their internal struggles and find out who they are and their place in the universe.

Of course, it is funny, too. It’s just that, while it’s a comedy, it’s much more than just an hour and a half of chuckles. It’s actually a very good movie with a strong sense of storytelling, and as a bonus, some really great action scenes.

The action in the film is actually pretty good. There’s a whole new dynamic you’ve probably never seen before, in that the actors are actually firing prop guns with blank rounds, while the bad guys are firing live rounds. This is just another layer of falseness to the massive facade that the movie focuses on.

Be on the lookout for one of the greatest cameos of all time, and don’t look at the cast listing on imdb until you’ve figured it out for yourself. When he first appears, you’ll be thinking “That guy looks familiar, who is that?” Then you’ll wind up saying to yourself “Could it be? Nah, that’s not… Wait a minute! I KNOW WHO THAT IS!” Figuring out the cameo is the biggest laugh of the movie, really.

If you want a movie with a lot of laughs, a lot of action, and its heart in the right place, Tropic Thunder is one of the better films out there today in that regard, and it’s definitely worth a try if you’d like to see Ben Stiller prove to the world that he can still be pretty funny, when he wants to be, that is.

Hokuto no Ken, or as it’s known in the US, Fist of the North Star, redefined the anime genre when it was released in the eighties. It began as a Japanese comic book, or manga, series written by BRONSON. Yep, that was his name. The comic writer was a legend in his field who actually named himself after the Death Wish star, Charles Bronson. The show is not just about fighting, it’s about the power of love and compassion, how forgiveness and understanding are the only things that can conquer violence and brutality and eventually lead to peace.

This is exemplified best in the Souther episodes. Souther is a character who, after childhood trauma, has devoted himself entirely to hatred, considering love to be the root of all pain and suffering, so he attempts to remain cold and disinterested from every aspect of life. It is made clear, before long, however, that he is filled with more love than anyone.

The way Kenshiro beats Souther is simply perfect, and one of the all time great moments in storytelling. Never have you seen a hero beat a villain in a kung fu story quite like Kenshiro beats Souther.

The show’s look has to be seen to be believed. It’s cheap, but it’s so charmingly cheap that many producers have since copied the same look even though they might have had much more money to spend. The show makes cheap animation look cool. An entire fight scene might be made up of less than a dozen frames of animation, but the resulting look, the cheap tricks they use to make one frame of animation look like a hundred, it really pays off in the end.

Even if you haven’t enjoyed an anime since Akira, Hokuto no Ken is still worth a watch. It’s really one of the greatest animated series ever created, and one of the most exciting, moving, and dramatic action stories in any genre. You might not have heard of these movies. If you’re thinking about the ones based on the Xbox and Playstation games, we’re not talking about those, but rather the trilogy of bizarre action flicks by Japanese crazy-man director Takashi Miike. Dead or Alive Part One was designed to be a way to bring together two hot Japanese stars, being Sho Aikawa, the Japanese Pacino, and Riki Takeuchi, the Japanese DeNiro, so Dead or Alive is sort of the Japanese Heat. However, it’s really nothing like Heat, and it’s sort of designed to fix the problem with that movie, being that the ending wasn’t quite the climax most viewers were hoping for.

We can’t spoil the ending of Dead or Alive for you, and you wouldn’t believe us if we did. Just check it out and see for yourself. The whole movie is designed to be non-stop, exciting, fast paced, and entirely over the top the whole way through.

Dead or Alive 2 is both a sequel and not a sequel. The two leads are recast as two entirely different characters, but they sort of parallel the original two characters. In the original, they were a cop and a gangster after one another’s throats. This time, they’re best friends. They grew up together in an orphanage and now work as hitmen who donate all their proceeds to fighting disease in third world countries.

This one is much more positive, much more life affirming, and surprisingly sweet and sentimental, whereas the first was relatively dark and negative in comparison. It’s interesting having these two movies, that are so different from each other, and yet have so much in common.

The third takes the whole series in an all new direction, going into science fiction akin to Blade Runner or Robocop, that sort of cyberpunk, androids and megacorporations sort of theme. It’s probably the least interesting of the trilogy, but it’s really interesting for how it ties the whole thing together.

If you want more after these three flicks, check out Deadly Outlaw Rekka also by Miike. It really takes the same approach to action. Everything is very over the top and surreal, and it’s all pretty exciting.

The trailer for the first movie in the trilogy proudly declares that Miike is the mad dog of Japanese film, and it’s true, that’s not just hyperbole. The guy makes something like four or five movies a year, and has created over one hundred total over the course of his career. Not all of them are of the same quality, but for just one in ten movies to be great, that’s ten great films, which is more than most directors ever get a chance to put out.
